I cannot recommend Emma highly enough - she is brilliant! I have had various treatments at this clinic, always with Emma. She is professional, knowledgeable, kind, thorough and very good at her job. One thing that always stands out is her interest in getting the best results for her clients. Unlike other aestheticians I’ve been to, I never feel rushed with Emma. She listens to your concerns and really wants you to be happy and satisfied with your treatment.Posted on Google

Couldn’t recommend Nurse Jayne enough! I went to see Nurse Jayne at for lip filler and polynucleotide treatment and honestly, she’s a dream. So lovely, so professional, and really takes her time to make sure everything looks super natural exactly what I wanted. It looks like I’ve slept 10years! My lips look amazing. She made the whole experience feel really easy and chill no pressure, with just good and honest advice. If you’re thinking about getting anything done, I’d 100% go see her.Posted on Google

I have had IPL laser hair removal and a course of Skin Rejuvenation to get on top of redness/Rosacea on my cheeks. Emma has been fantastic. She’s caring, friendly and professional, she puts me at ease with her gentle yet confident manner. I am very pleased with the results as the redness made me feel very self conscious and was hard to control. The Skin Rejuvenation treatment is a course of treatments over a number of weeks. I also had an express hydra facial that left my skin looking so fresh and clear - a luxury that I will certainly book again. On arrival I am greeted with a smile and warm welcome by Benji, he’s brilliant at sorting appointments that fit around my schedule. Thank you Emma and BenjiPosted on Google

I had 0.5ml lip filler (this is a 'beginner' amount for a subtle effect) with nurse Jayne who was brilliant and very kind. I personally found the procedure very painful, so I would recommend asking for a 'dental block' beforehand if you are a wimp like me! I had purple bruising on my lips for five days afterwards, so don't book meetings, dates etc straight afterwards. Clinic staff were friendly and all very clean. Would definitely return.Posted on Google

Had my first HydraFacial on Harley Street and loved it! The treatment was super relaxing and my skin felt so clean, fresh, and glowy afterwards. The therapist Emma was lovely and talked me through each step and it was completely pain-free. I noticed an instant difference — my skin looked brighter, smoother, and way more hydrated. If you’ve been thinking about trying one, honestly go for it. It’s such a nice treat with and definitely worth the investment . I wish I could have one every 6 weeks !Posted on Google

TThe team here is absolutely amazing! I recently moved to the area and I’m so glad I chose this clinic. From the moment I step inside, I feel right at home. I’ve had a few procedures done and I absolutely love them all. Emma did my peels and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. And Katie has been an incredible guide through my concerns. Benji is always so friendly and makes me feel so comfortable. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my face!Posted on Google

I went to Harley Street for a skin assessment. Katie saw me and was incredibly welcoming and friendly, she gave me some fantastic advice for my skin and followed that up with an email. Would wholly recommend these guys.

Acne is a common inflammatory skin condition that develops when hair follicles become blocked with excess sebum (natural skin oil) and dead skin cells. This can lead to blackheads, whiteheads, inflamed spots and, in more severe cases, painful nodules or cysts.
While acne is often associated with teenage years, adult acne and hormonal breakouts are also common, particularly among women experiencing hormonal fluctuations during their menstrual cycle, pregnancy, perimenopause or menopause.
Acne can be influenced by several factors, including:
Acne can present in different ways, from mild congestion to persistent inflammatory breakouts. It may also leave behind post-inflammatory pigmentation, redness or acne scarring.
At Harley Street Clinic Surrey in Reigate, we take time to understand your skin concerns and recommend appropriate treatments and professional skincare to support clearer, healthier-looking skin.
Acne can present in several forms, from mild congestion and occasional breakouts to persistent inflammatory acne. Understanding the different types of acne is important when selecting the most appropriate skin treatments and skincare routine.
Blackheads and Whiteheads (Comedonal Acne)
One of the most common forms of acne, comedonal acne develops when hair follicles become blocked with excess oil and dead skin cells. Blackheads appear as small dark spots, while whiteheads form beneath closed pores, often affecting the forehead, nose and chin.
Inflammatory Acne (Papules and Pustules)
Inflammatory acne can cause red, tender spots and pus-filled blemishes. These breakouts may be persistent and require a carefully selected treatment approach to avoid further irritation and inflammation.
Hormonal and Adult Acne
Hormonal acne often presents as recurring breakouts around the chin, jawline and lower face, although it can affect other areas. Hormonal changes associated with menstrual cycles, PCOS and perimenopause may contribute to flare-ups.
Nodular and Cystic Acne
More severe forms of acne can cause deep, painful lumps beneath the skin and carry a greater risk of permanent scarring. These types of acne often require assessment and medical treatment by a GP or dermatologist before considering aesthetic skin treatments.
Post-Acne Marks and Acne Scarring
Following active acne, some patients experience lingering redness, pigmentation or changes in skin texture. Atrophic acne scars, including ice-pick, boxcar and rolling scars, may benefit from targeted skin rejuvenation treatments once active acne is appropriately controlled.
At Harley Street Clinic Surrey, our skin specialists assess your individual concerns and recommend suitable treatments for acne-prone skin, congestion and the visible effects of previous breakouts.
At Harley Street Clinic Surrey in Reigate, we believe that understanding your skin is the first step towards developing an effective acne treatment plan.
Your consultation begins with a comprehensive skin assessment, where our experienced practitioners discuss your skin concerns, history of breakouts, current skincare routine, lifestyle and any factors that may be contributing to your acne, including hormonal changes and stress.
To support your assessment, we can also offer an advanced VISIA Skin Analysis, providing detailed imaging and objective measurements of key skin characteristics, including:
VISIA imaging can also help us monitor changes in your skin over time, allowing your practitioner to review your progress and adjust your treatment and skincare recommendations where appropriate.
Following your assessment, we will discuss suitable professional skin treatments, homecare recommendations and, where appropriate, our Acne Membership for patients seeking a structured, ongoing approach to managing acne-prone skin.

Professional Chemical Peels
Our professional chemical peels use selected exfoliating ingredients to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of clogged pores and address superficial post-acne pigmentation. The appropriate peel is selected according to your skin type, sensitivity and concerns.
IPL & Light-Based Skin Treatments
Selected light-based treatments may help address visible redness and pigmentation left behind by previous acne breakouts. Suitability depends on your skin type, the concerns being treated and the specific technology used.
Targeted Corticosteroid Injections for Acne Cysts
For selected severe inflammatory acne cysts, intralesional corticosteroid injections, sometimes known as Kenalog injections, may be considered following an appropriate medical assessment. These injections aim to reduce localised inflammation and are not suitable for ordinary spots or as a routine acne treatment.
Where specialist acne care is required, an appropriate dermatology referral may be recommended.
Personalised Medical-Grade Skincare Plans
Consistent homecare plays an important role in managing acne-prone skin. Our practitioners can recommend a tailored skincare programme, incorporating suitable cleansers, exfoliating ingredients, moisturisersand daily sun protection.
Where prescription acne treatment is required, we can advise you to seek an appropriate medical assessment.
Advanced Treatments for Acne Scarring & Skin Resurfacing
SkinPen Medical Microneedling
SkinPen stimulates the skin’s natural collagen production through controlled microneedling, helping to improve the appearance of suitable depressed acne scars, uneven texture and enlarged-looking pores.
Morpheus8 Radiofrequency Microneedling
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to promote collagen remodelling within the skin. It may be suitable for improving the appearance of certain acne scars, textural irregularities and uneven skin texture.
Advanced Skin Resurfacing
For patients with more established acne scarring, advanced resurfacing treatments may be considered to improve visible surface irregularities and support skin renewal.
Treatment recommendations depend on scar depth, skin type and individual suitability.
Post-Acne Skin Rejuvenation & Repair
Polynucleotide Skin Treatments
Polynucleotides are injectable skin-quality treatments used in aesthetic medicine to support improvements in skin hydration, texture and overall appearance.
They may be discussed as an additional skin rejuvenation option for suitable patients following acne, although they are not an established treatment for active acne.
Injectable Skin Boosters
Skin boosters are designed to improve skin hydration and quality, helping to enhance the appearance of dull, dehydrated or uneven-looking skin.
They may be considered as part of a wider post-acne rejuvenation plan once active breakouts have been appropriately managed.
Exosome-Based Skin Treatments
Exosome-based formulations are an emerging area of aesthetic skin rejuvenation research. Where an appropriately regulated product and suitable treatment protocol are available, your practitioner can discuss its intended use, limitations and suitability.
These products should not be considered an established treatment for active acne or acne scarring.

The best treatment depends on your skin type, acne severity and individual concerns. Options may include professional chemical peels, HydraFacial, medical-grade skincare or appropriate medical acne treatments. We recommend a personalised skin consultation to determine suitable options.
Hormonal acne is often associated with fluctuations in hormone levels, particularly during menstrual cycles, PCOS and perimenopause. Professional skin treatments may help address congestion and post-acne concerns, while persistent hormonal acne may require prescription treatment.
Treatment frequency depends on your skin and the procedure selected. Some professional skin treatments may be recommended every 4–6 weeks, while others require different intervals. We can develop an appropriate schedule for you.
Yes, certain types of acne scarring may improve with treatments such as SkinPen microneedling, Morpheus8 and skin resurfacing. The most suitable treatment depends on the type and severity of scarring, and results vary.
Stress and hormonal changes can contribute to acne flare-ups. Certain dietary patterns may also influence acne in some people, although research into the gut–skin connection is still developing. Food intolerances are not an established general cause of acne.
Results depend on your skin concerns and chosen treatment. Some treatments can provide an immediate improvement in the appearance of congestion or skin texture, while meaningful improvement in active acne or scarring may take several weeks or months.
