What is Nipple Reduction?

During the nipple reduction procedure, your surgeon will begin by applying a local anesthetic to the treatment area. For nipple reduction, the surgeon will reduce the length of the nipple to make it more proportionate with the rest of the breast. The procedure involves precise incisions to remove excess tissue, followed by suturing to reshape the nipple. The entire process usually takes about one hour. For areola reduction, the surgeon will use a nipple marker to outline the desired areola size. A circular section of the skin will then be removed, and the surrounding breast skin will be sutured to the remaining areola tissue, achieving a tightened and aesthetically pleasing effect. This procedure is also performed under local anesthetic and takes about an hour.
