What is Vitamin Drips?

A Vitamin drip, or ‘vitamin therapy’ as it is sometimes referred, is an infusion of healthy vitamins delivered via IV (directly to the vein); the most common drip combination consisting of collagen, vitamin C, and glutathione. Depending on the vitamin concoction: vitamin drips have been shown to bring about dramatic improvements in everything from hair growth and weight loss to adrenal fatigue and cognitive function. If you are thinking about Vitamin drips but don’t know a lot about what it involves, the benefits and how we provide this treatment please contact Harley Street Clinic Harpenden and Surrey
The main component of traditional vitamin drips –glutathione – is an antioxidant known for its astonishing effect on the skin, helping to brighten the complexion as well as protect, hydrate and repair. Overseas, these kinds of infusions have been packaged as both drips and injections (you may have heard of a glutathione ‘shot’ or ‘push’), serving as an intense influx of healthy chemicals. Vitamin drips help to replenish the natural reserves of certain chemicals and will remain effective for as long as the drip components remain present in the blood, this is – of course – dependent on the volume (in mg) administered, as well as various other factors. As a result of this, Vitamin drips will require maintenance treatments for long-term effects. Glutathione is perhaps most known for its skin brightening abilities. This is because the glutathione compound inhibits the body’s ability to produce melanin – the pigment responsible for our skin’s colour. Darker skin tones are due to a greater production of melanin, so to brighten and/or even out pigmented skin tone, glutathione works on a chemical-level from within.

Reasons to Have Vitamin Drips

Glutathione-based drips, particularly, are however noted for their impacts on skin health. Following a glutathione drip, you can expect to see a visible improvement in radiance, texture, plumpness, fine lines, hydration, and brightness, accompanied by a feeling of an intense internal cleanse. This is because glutathione infusions are incredible for detoxification. This, along with a drastic impact on melanin production, is what leads to a significant lightening of the skin. In addition to this, glutathione is fantastically anti-ageing, both inside and out. This is because it plays an essential role in the removal of nasty toxins and replenishing the body’s internal supply of healthy chemicals. As a result, glutathione can help fight off disease, protect against UV radiation, boost energy, repair damaged tissue and even soothe inflammation.

  • Expedite post-party recovery
  • Boost your immune systems and help if you are particularly prone to colds or unpredictable energy slumps.
  • Help your body function at absolute optimum.
  • Serves as an intravenous multi-vitamin supply.
  • No known side effects.
  • Medically safe when given in appropriate doses.
  • Do not require taking any time from work whatsoever. In fact, you will probably feel even better equipped to head off to work thanks to a boost in cognitive function!

What the Treatment Involves

Following a consultation our specialists will administer your required solution via IV, meaning through your veins. Operating in a similar way to the IV drips previously reserved for hospital in-patients, in saline solution, a cocktail of nutrients are administered into the bloodstream via a cannula. Vitamin drips deliver a higher concentration of certain vitamins and minerals into your bloodstream and at a much quicker rate than taking something orally. After the treatment has been completed, keep the area where the cannula was inserted clean and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated for the next 48 hours. If you require any more information, feel free to contact our team.
