Botox Before and After Pictures

Over time, facial expressions etch lines and wrinkles into the skin that no amount of moisturiser can reverse. Crow’s feet, furrows across the forehead, and frown lines between the brows seem inevitable. Botox relaxes these persistent wrinkles for 3 to 4 months or longer by blocking signals from the nerves that cause repetitive expressions.

Botox treatment gets rid of the existing creases while preventing new wrinkles from forming as frequently. The before and after results in the pictures uniquely showcase Botox’s ability to erase years from one’s appearance. Regardless of your age or skin type, consider modern advances like Botox injections to proactively combat lines. Botox can help you unlock a brighter complexion and a youthfully refreshed version of yourself.

Advanced Botox Treatments

We now offer a range of Advanced Botox® treatments which are a little more complex but use the same Botox® procedure.

1. Gummy Smile

The upper lip may widen too far exposing the gums when you smile, which can make people feel self-conscious. This happens due to the hyperactive upper lip muscles. our advanced Gummy smile treatment injects Botox® in the the levator labii superioris muscles to reduce the movement of the upper lips when smiling. This advanced treatment is available at Surrey.

2. Hyperhidrosis

Your sweat glands work when you get a message from the body’s nervous system, if they get too many messages they keep on working and you can sweat excessively. This is called hyperhidrosis; if this happens under your arms it is called axillary hyperhidrosis.  Our advanced Botox® treatments  given by injection into the skin can prevent this from reoccurring.  When injected into the skin where you are sweating, Botox® blocks the signals from the nervous system that supply the sweat glands; this stops them working so hard and prevents them from producing too much sweat.

For a full breakdown of the procedure, results, and what to expect, read our dedicated guide to Botox for excessive sweating in Surrey.

3. Neferti Neck Lift

With age, the facial and neck muscles may loose tone and the skin may sag. The Nefertiti neck lift is a Advanced technique whereby multiple injections of Botulinum Toxin Type A are administered along the lower jawline as well as down the side of the neck along the platysma muscle, to improve the contour and overall definition of the jawline, redefine and rebalance the underlying active muscles which will result in a ‘uplifting’ in the neck and jawline area.

Patients with more advanced neck laxity may benefit from NeckTite, our radiofrequency-assisted neck tightening treatment.

4. Jawline Slimming

The jawline muscles over time can become square shaped, resulting in a more aged appearance. Our advanced Botox® treatments for Slimming the Jawline can provide a more youthful look and feel.  Also known as The Masseters reduction is a simple yet effective procedure that involves the injection of the Botox®  type A into the large masseter muscles to create a slim and more feminine jawline.

Many patients combine masseter Botox with jawline filler for a more defined mandibular border.

5. Eyebrow Lift

A Botox® Brow Lift, also known as a non-surgical eyebrow lift, is a non-surgical procedure that treats frown lines between the eyebrows. By using FDA-approved Botox® to relax the muscles that pull the brow downward, we can effectively elevate the eyebrows. Small injections can also be administered to the forehead to create an overall smoothing effect, carefully balanced to maintain a natural, lifted position.

Patients with more significant brow descent may be better suited to a surgical brow lift, which we also offer at Harley Street Clinic Surrey.

What the Treatment Involves

Small amounts of Botox® are injected into the muscle of the problem area. The Botox® toxin relaxes the muscle by hindering all signals that are normally made from the nerve to contract the muscle. You then achieve a smoothed-out appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Once the injection is made, the muscle will no longer be able to contract–allowing the wrinkles to soften and completely disappear over time. The most common areas for Botox® injections are normally located in the eyebrow area–where frown lines occur–and around the eyes–crow’s feet–and the forehead. The effect of the treatment will usually last for around 3-4 months and you will require a top up to maintain the results.

Most importantly, Botox® treatments are literally painless. The maximum pain you will experience is the prick/pinching as the needle is being injected into the skin. However, your consultant may be able to apply a topical numbing agent before the procedure if you’re not a needle person.

FAQs

How long does Botox last?

Results from botulinum toxin treatment typically last between three and five months, though this varies depending on the area treated and the individual patient. Masseter (jaw slimming) Botox tends to last longer – six to nine months – because of the size and strength of the muscle involved. Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) treatment can last six to twelve months.

At Harley Street Clinic Surrey, we recommend a top-up appointment when you notice the effects beginning to soften, which for most patients is at around the three to four month mark for facial anti-wrinkle treatment.

Botox pricing at Harley Street Clinic Surrey varies depending on the treatment area and number of areas treated (starting from £199).

Specialist applications such as masseter jaw slimming, hyperhidrosis treatment, and the Nefertiti Neck Lift are priced separately due to the higher doses and technique involved. We recommend booking a consultation to receive a personalised quote based on your specific concerns and treatment goals.

Yes – botulinum toxin is one of the most extensively researched compounds in medical aesthetics, with a clinical track record spanning several decades. When administered by a qualified, medically trained prescriber, it has an excellent safety profile.

At Harley Street Clinic Surrey, all botulinum toxin treatments are performed exclusively by qualified medical professionals – doctors and prescribers with specialist training in facial anatomy. Our clinic is CQC-registered. We never delegate injections to non-medical practitioners.

The number of units required depends on the treatment area, the strength of your individual muscles, and the result you want to achieve. As a general guide: the forehead typically requires 10–20 units, the glabellar frown lines (11 lines) 20–25 units, and crow’s feet 10–15 units per side.

Masseter treatment for jaw slimming requires a significantly higher dose – typically 25–50 units per side. During your consultation at Harley Street Clinic Surrey, your practitioner will assess your muscle activity and discuss the appropriate dosage for your anatomy and goals.

Botox (botulinum toxin) and dermal fillers are both injectable treatments but they work in entirely different ways. Botox relaxes the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles – lines produced by repeated facial movement such as frowning or squinting. It is also used for jaw slimming, brow lifting, neck lifting, and hyperhidrosis treatment.

Dermal fillers, by contrast, add volume to areas that have lost fullness with age or that benefit from structural enhancement – such as the lips, cheeks, jawline, and tear troughs. The two treatments are frequently combined in the same session to address both movement-related lines and volume loss comprehensively.

You can find out more about our full range of dermal fillers in Surrey here.

Yes. Botulinum toxin is a highly effective, clinically proven treatment for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). When injected into the skin of the underarms, palms, or soles, it blocks the nerve signals that stimulate the sweat glands – dramatically reducing or eliminating sweating in the treated area.

Results from hyperhidrosis treatment typically last six to twelve months, making it one of the longest-lasting applications of botulinum toxin. At Harley Street Clinic Surrey, we offer a dedicated hyperhidrosis consultation and use the Minor’s starch-iodine test to precisely map the active sweating zone before treatment.

The Nefertiti Lift is a specialist botulinum toxin treatment that targets the platysma muscle in the neck and the depressor muscles along the lower jawline. By relaxing the downward pull of these muscles, the opposing elevator muscles of the lower face can work with less resistance – producing a subtle but meaningful lifting and tightening effect on the jaw and neck.

The treatment is named after the Egyptian queen Nefertiti, renowned for her sharply defined jawline and elongated neck. It is most effective for patients with early jowling or neck laxity who want a non-surgical approach to maintaining jawline definition.

There is no single correct age to begin botulinum toxin treatment – the right time is when the concern bothers you and a qualified practitioner confirms treatment is appropriate for your skin and muscle dynamics. In practice, most patients begin anti-wrinkle treatment in their late twenties to mid-thirties, when dynamic lines begin to persist at rest.

At Harley Street Clinic Surrey, we do not prescribe treatment unless it is clinically appropriate and the patient has realistic expectations. Our consultations are thorough and pressure-free – we will always tell you honestly if we feel treatment is not warranted or would not benefit you.
