What is Fat Transfer?

Fat Transfer, also known as fat grafting or fat injection, is a cosmetic procedure that enhances the face and body using fat harvested from another area of the body. This technique offers natural-looking results by contouring and reshaping your body without the use of synthetic materials, while simultaneously removing unwanted fat permanently.

Reasons to Have Fat Transfer

Fat transfer is suitable for a variety of reasons:
  • Correcting dents, lumps, or uneven skin following accidents or surgeries.
  • Addressing skin defects or irregularities.
  • Enhancing results of previous cosmetic procedures, such as laser liposuction, Vaser liposuction, or gynecomastia surgery.
  • Restoring symmetry and correcting dents in the breasts after cancer surgery.
  • Enhancing volume and shape in areas lacking fullness.
To be eligible for fat transfer, you must have sufficient fat in one area that can be transferred to another area needing enhancement. It is important to note that weight loss after the procedure can reduce the transferred fat volume.

Benefits of Fat Transfer

Fat transfer offers numerous benefits, including:
  • Improved self-confidence through natural, aesthetically pleasing results.
  • Smoother skin texture and enhanced contours.
  • Long-lasting results, with effects potentially lasting from 3 to 20 years.
  • Minimally invasive procedure compared to synthetic implants.
  • Ability to address multiple areas in one procedure by removing unwanted fat from one part and adding volume to another.
