Cheek fillers are a very common non-surgical cosmetic procedure with minimum downtime.
The procedure can take from 15 minutes to 1 hour. You will see results immediately and recover quickly. There is minimal downtime, though rare side effects for example swelling or bruising may sometimes occur.
A substance called Dermal filler is injected into the cheek area, depending on the type of filler you use, results can last a year or more.
The most common fillers used are Hyaluronic Acid Fillers. HA is a naturally occurring substance that exists in your skin. Results from HA fillers usually last about one year. At Harley Street Clinic, the most approved Fillers like JUVÉDERM® and Restylane® are used for our patients.
During your appointment, you’ll recline in a sterilized environment. The injection process is simple and will only last 20 minutes or so. A substance will enter your cheeks via the injection process. After the injection, you’ll be able to see some of the results immediately. It will take a day or two for the filler to settle into its position where the complete look will be a lot more visible. There is no downtime and you may drive and return to your normal daily activities. Most importantly, Cheek Fillers are literally painless. The maximum pain you will experience is the prick/pinching as the needle is being injected into the skin. However, your Consultant may be able to apply a topical numbing agent before the procedure if your not a needle person.
