I cannot recommend Emma highly enough - she is brilliant! I have had various treatments at this clinic, always with Emma. She is professional, knowledgeable, kind, thorough and very good at her job. One thing that always stands out is her interest in getting the best results for her clients. Unlike other aestheticians I’ve been to, I never feel rushed with Emma. She listens to your concerns and really wants you to be happy and satisfied with your treatment.

Couldn’t recommend Nurse Jayne enough! I went to see Nurse Jayne at for lip filler and polynucleotide treatment and honestly, she’s a dream. So lovely, so professional, and really takes her time to make sure everything looks super natural exactly what I wanted. It looks like I’ve slept 10years! My lips look amazing. She made the whole experience feel really easy and chill no pressure, with just good and honest advice. If you’re thinking about getting anything done, I’d 100% go see her.

I have had IPL laser hair removal and a course of Skin Rejuvenation to get on top of redness/Rosacea on my cheeks. Emma has been fantastic. She’s caring, friendly and professional, she puts me at ease with her gentle yet confident manner. I am very pleased with the results as the redness made me feel very self conscious and was hard to control. The Skin Rejuvenation treatment is a course of treatments over a number of weeks. I also had an express hydra facial that left my skin looking so fresh and clear - a luxury that I will certainly book again. On arrival I am greeted with a smile and warm welcome by Benji, he’s brilliant at sorting appointments that fit around my schedule. Thank you Emma and Benji

I had 0.5ml lip filler (this is a 'beginner' amount for a subtle effect) with nurse Jayne who was brilliant and very kind. I personally found the procedure very painful, so I would recommend asking for a 'dental block' beforehand if you are a wimp like me! I had purple bruising on my lips for five days afterwards, so don't book meetings, dates etc straight afterwards. Clinic staff were friendly and all very clean. Would definitely return.

Had my first HydraFacial on Harley Street and loved it! The treatment was super relaxing and my skin felt so clean, fresh, and glowy afterwards. The therapist Emma was lovely and talked me through each step and it was completely pain-free. I noticed an instant difference — my skin looked brighter, smoother, and way more hydrated. If you’ve been thinking about trying one, honestly go for it. It’s such a nice treat with and definitely worth the investment . I wish I could have one every 6 weeks !

TThe team here is absolutely amazing! I recently moved to the area and I’m so glad I chose this clinic. From the moment I step inside, I feel right at home. I’ve had a few procedures done and I absolutely love them all. Emma did my peels and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. And Katie has been an incredible guide through my concerns. Benji is always so friendly and makes me feel so comfortable. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my face!

I went to Harley Street for a skin assessment. Katie saw me and was incredibly welcoming and friendly, she gave me some fantastic advice for my skin and followed that up with an email. Would wholly recommend these guys.

Blepharoplasty Before and After

What Is Blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty, sometimes called eyelid surgery or an eyelid lift, is a surgical procedure used to adjust excess skin, fat and, where appropriate, muscle around the upper or lower eyelids.

Upper blepharoplasty typically focuses on loose or heavy skin above the eyes. Lower blepharoplasty can address under-eye bags, fatty bulges and selected areas of loose skin beneath the eyes. Some patients may be suitable for both procedures within one surgical plan.

Blepharoplasty can create a more rested appearance by improving specific features around the eyes. However, it will not remove every line, correct every cause of dark circles or prevent the natural ageing process. Your consultation will establish what surgery can realistically achieve in your individual case.

Loose upper eyelid skin should not be confused with true eyelid ptosis, which concerns the position of the eyelid itself and may require a different form of assessment or treatment.

What Can Eyelid Surgery Address?

The eye area is the first area where ageing can be seen. Small improvements in this area can lead to a major impact on the face’s appearance, as the eyes are a main area on the face. Eyelid surgery will restore a more youthful-looking appearance and rejuvenate radiance and youth.

As we age, changes in skin elasticity and the tissues surrounding the eyes can contribute to under-eye bags, puffiness, and loose skin. Lower blepharoplasty is individually planned according to the underlying cause of these concerns and your anatomy. Your surgeon will assess the eye area during consultation and explain whether upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty or a combined procedure is appropriate for you.

Book a consultation with one of our blepharoplasty surgeons to receive an individual assessment and treatment plan.

The procedure is planned according to your anatomy rather than your age alone. The amount of tissue adjusted will be carefully considered to preserve the natural character and function of the eyelids.

Loose or creased skin above the eyes

Under eye bags or fatty bulges

Selected areas of lower eyelid skin laxity

Excess upper eyelid skin that affects the field of vision

Types of Blepharoplasty Options Available

Upper Blepharoplasty Lower Blepharoplasty Combined
Addresses hooded or heavy upper eyelids caused by excess skin Addresses under-eye bags, puffiness and selected areas of loose lower eyelid skin Addresses concerns affecting both the upper and lower eyelids within one surgical plan
Incision is positioned within the natural crease of the eyelid Incision is placed beneath the lower eyelashes or inside the lower eyelid Incisions are made in the upper eyelid crease and beneath the eyelashes
Usually involves a shorter initial recovery Usually requires a moderate recovery period as swelling and bruising beneath the eyes gradually settle Usually involves a longer initial recovery because both the upper and lower eyelid areas are healing
Brow position is carefully assessed Brow position is not usually the main consideration The surgeon considers the eyelids, brow position and surrounding facial proportions

What Your Treatment Plan Involves

Consultation

During your consultation, the surgeon will assess your upper and lower eyelids, skin quality, brow position and facial proportions. You will also be asked about your medical history, medication, eye health and any previous procedures.

Preparation

Before surgery, the treatment area will be examined and marked. Your surgical team will confirm the agreed treatment plan and prepare you for the recommended anaesthesia.

Surgery

For upper eyelid surgery, the incision is generally placed within the natural eyelid crease. The surgeon removes or adjusts the planned amount of skin, fat or muscle before closing the incision.

For lower eyelid surgery, the incision may be positioned beneath the lower eyelashes or inside the eyelid. The surgeon can then remove or reposition selected fat and address skin or muscle where required.

Blepharoplasty may be performed under local or general anaesthetic, depending on the procedure and individual treatment plan. The anaesthesia options available at Harley Street Clinic Surrey require client confirmation.

Recovery

Swelling, bruising and a feeling of tightness are common during the early stages of blepharoplasty recovery. The eyelids may also feel sensitive, watery, numb or temporarily difficult to close.

Your Questions Answered

Blepharoplasty at Harley Street Clinic Surrey currently starts from £2,800, subject to client confirmation. The final cost depends on whether upper, lower or combined eyelid surgery is required. You will receive a personalised quotation after your surgical consultation.

Many patients allow around two weeks for the initial recovery period. Bruising, swelling and scar maturation can continue beyond this point. Your return to work and normal activities will depend on your procedure, occupation and individual healing.

Upper blepharoplasty may improve hooding caused by excess eyelid skin. However, a low brow or true eyelid ptosis can create a similar appearance and may require a different treatment. Your surgeon will assess the whole upper face before making a recommendation.

A brow lift may be considered when the position of the brow is a significant cause of heaviness or hooding above the eyes. Blepharoplasty focuses on the eyelids, while a brow lift adjusts the brow and forehead. Some patients may be suitable for one procedure, while others may require a combined approach.

At our Reigate clinic, blepharoplasty procedures are performed under local anaesthetic. This means the treatment area is numbed while you remain awake throughout the procedure. Your surgeon will explain what to expect and discuss your suitability for surgery during your consultation.

Upper and lower blepharoplasty may be combined when both areas require treatment and the patient is medically suitable. A combined procedure is not necessarily appropriate for everyone, so an individual surgical assessment is required.
